Hospice of the Valley wins IMPACT award

Hospice of the Valley has been awarded the IMPACT award for “Community Champion” by the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce.

"We feel grateful and very honored for the Chamber’s recognition of our commitment to the community," said Susan Levine, executive director/CEO of Hospice of the Valley. "All of us feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with multiple partners in pursuit of our mission."

Established in 1977, Hospice of the Valley serves more than 4,000 patients a day throughout central Arizona, including metro Phoenix. It is one of the oldest and largest not-for-profit hospices in the nation.

The "Community Champion" award honors those that "meaningfully give back to the local community; foster employee growth and development; promote a positive work environment or high performance among employees; and (maintain) community investment and employee engagement in charitable activities."

Hospice of the Valley won "Community Champion" in the large business category of more than 250 employees. The small business winner is Goodmans Interior Structures.

Other winners, in large and small categories respectively, are: Economic Driver (Mayo Clinic, DMB Associates); Entrepreneurial Excellence (Trident Security Services and Maddy’s Pool Supply and Service; Response to Adversity (Macayo’s Mexican Kitchen, Phoenix Collegiate Academy).

The 25^th annual IMPACT Awards luncheon will take place May 17 at 11:30 a.m.  at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa. An overall IMPACT Business of the Year will be announced then.
