Event Information
The event starts at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 at Steele Indian School Park in the amphitheatre, 300 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.

Image Information

The highlight of Light Up a Life is a photographic tribute to those being honored and remembered. If you would like to send a photo of your loved one, we are happy to include it in the tribute.

PHOTO SUBMISSION CRITERIA
We accept original and digital photos. We cannot accept computer-printed, photocopied, or cell phone photos. Minimum size is 2" x 3", and if it is digital, it must be high-resolution. Photos must be received on or before Nov. 9, 2011.

Original Photos
Please mail original photos to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014. Include your name, phone number and/or e-mail address in case we need to contact you. If you want your photo returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Digital Photos
Please submit your high-resolution photos electronically through our Web site, hov.org/LUAL

    There is no charge for the event. There will be donation tables set up if anyone wishes to make a donation in their loved one’s name.

    Yes there is handicapped parking and the site is wheelchair accessible.

  7. Do I need to bring my own ornament?
    Paper ornaments with a space to write in a name will be provided free of charge to commemorate loved ones by placing the ornament on the tree.

    You may bring your own ornament to hang on the tree and displayed at one of our offices but we cannot guarantee its return.

    The deadline to submit photos for the montage is Nov. 9, 2011.

    Due to the large number of photos please resubmit your photo to ensure it is included this year.

    Yes. We can crop people out and touch up scratched images.

    Yes. Please call 602.530.6992 first to ensure staff members are here to assist you.

  5. What if I don't know how to scan photos?
    Unfortunately, we are unable to relay this information over the phone; please either mail the original, bring it to our office or take it to AlphaGraphics or a photo processing center for assistance with scanning.

  6. What resolution do I scan my images?
    300dpi at 100%.

  7. Why can’t I send a photograph printed from my computer?
    The computer prints with dot patterns and when we scan the image, those dot patterns show, reducing the image quality.

  8. All I have is this 1/2" x 1/2", torn 1000-year-old image on onion paper with a coffee stain... Can you please include it? (Or some other image that is difficult to reproduce!)
    If you only have one image that is terrible quality - we will try to make it work - but cannot guarantee it.
