Volunteer
New Song needs volunteers to serve as support group facilitators, help with office work, speak to community groups and assist with fund-raising events and activities.
Volunteers are the foundation of everything we do. Most volunteers work as support group facilitators after completing 25 hours of training and up to 20 hours of mentoring. Training is offered several times a year. A one-year commitment is requested.
Families and support group facilitators come together every two weeks. They share a pizza dinner then meet for 90 minutes. Adults, teens and children split into their respective age-related groups then join together for a closing ceremony. Laughter and play are always part of the healing process. Being a New Song facilitator is a rewarding way to make a difference.
