Teen Grief Support

For teens, grieving the loss of a loved one can be especially challenging because adolescents are still maturing mentally and emotionally.

Anger, sadness, withdrawal, guilt and anxiety are common effects grief can have on teens. Hospice of the Valley provides help for teens working their way through grief. Counseling is available for teens and family members affected by the loss of a loved one served by Hospice of the Valley. See our GriefSpeak resouces below written for both teens and adults. For help, call 602.530.6970.

In addition, the New Song Center for Grieving Children – a program of Hospice of the Valley – offers support groups for teens as well as young adults, children and parents. For more information, visit the New Song Center teen page.
