Volunteer reading to patient

Volunteer with us!

It may be one of the most fulfilling things you ever do.

Volunteers visit and read with patients, run errands and offer emotional support. Our biggest need is for volunteers to provide companionship for patients and give breaks to family caregivers. Visits are made in patient's homes, assisted living facilities and our inpatient units, including Ryan House.

Volunteers also can work at our White Dove Thrift Shoppe, with four store locations. Stitch a beach towel into a bath poncho. Sing a song or play an instrument. Take your pet on a therapy visit to bring smiles and comfort. Arrange and deliver bouquets of donated flowers to patients. Answer phones, greet people and manage paperwork in our offices. Assist with special events. Or give community talks to educate groups and companies about our many programs and no-cost community services.

Spanish speakers are needed for patient companionship and to provide grief support for children.
