- Matching gifts: Many employers will match your monetary gift to Hospice of the Valley, or perhaps even make a monetary donation to match your volunteer service. Please ask your employer if that is their policy or encourage them to make it policy for the future. It can double your gift and provide twice the support to patients and families in need. You may need to provide your employer with our Tax ID number, which is 86-0338886.
- United Way/Employee Charitable Campaign gifts: You may choose to direct donations to Hospice of the Valley through your employer's annual United Way or charitable giving campaigns.
- In-kind gifts: Hospice of the Valley accepts many in-kind donations, such as new and unused personal care items and clothing for patients (for example, toiletries, disposable cameras, sleepwear, quilts, etc.) and equipment and supplies for our inpatient hospice homes (such as microwave ovens, DVD players, CD players, movies, music, books, pre-packaged snacks and beverages for families, new and unused toys for visiting children, etc.). We also accept donations of items for our annual wine and art auctions. Please contact the Fund Development Department, 602.530.6992 for information regarding donation of in-kind gifts.
Donations of gently used clothing, furniture and household items are accepted through our White Dove Thrift Shoppe. - Vehicle donations: Hospice of the Valley has a vehicle donation program, working with an organization that tows, titles and auctions the vehicles - whether they run or not. Proceeds from the sales go to Hospice of the Valley. Donations are tax deductible. If you wish to donate a vehicle, contact the Fund Development Department, 602.530.6992. Please refer to Vehicle Donation Program Frequently Asked Questions (PDF) for more information.
