Over the next decade, Arizona will experience one of the nation’s biggest increases in the number of Alzheimer’s patients.
To meet the challenge, Hospice of the Valley, a not-for-profit leader in dementia care, has established a fellowship program to mentor new and emerging leaders in dementia care. The goals are to advance workforce development and create new models of dementia care to improve quality of life.
Applicants may include health and social service professionals, lawyers, administrators, educators, artists in various fields and others. Up to 12 people will be selected to participate in the year-long program starting January 2019.
Each fellow will receive $5,000 and each fellow’s organization also will receive $5,000 to support the project.
